Our Mission and Objectives

Objectives of the Hyperbaric Association of Ireland 

  1. Promote and advance hyperbaric oxygenation: Foster knowledge, understanding, and the use of hyperbaric oxygenation therapy (HBOT) in Ireland.

  2. Establish and maintain standards: Develop comprehensive guidelines for best practices, safety protocols, and ethical conduct in the provision of hyperbaric oxygenation services. Encourage self-regulation of the industry.

  3. Support research and development: Collaborate with academic institutions and clinicians to further research and innovation in the field.

  4. Advocate for the industry: Serve as the voice for hyperbaric oxygenation in Ireland, engaging with the HSE, health science professionals and practising clinicians, universities and research centres, patient groups and other relevant associations. 

  5. Facilitate education and training: Organise regular educational initiatives, workshops, and conferences.

  6. Foster national and international collaboration: Provide a forum for communication among stakeholders and build relationships with international hyperbaric associations.

  7. Promote public awareness: Develop initiatives to educate the public about the benefits and appropriate uses of HBOT.
